Glimmer Body Art Review and Giveaway

A few months ago we took Goose to the zoo, and they had a booth set up where you could get your face painted, have temporary tattoos applied, and get this really pretty glitter body art done.  I really liked the glitter body art, and allowed Goose to get one done.  It was cute and lasted almost a week.  She went around telling everyone she had a "cutie mark" (Please see "My Little Pony" for definition).

The body art was cute, but it also costs $10 for a small little butterfly.  So, I, being the type of person I am, got home, I looked up companies who make glitter body art.  Turns out Glimmer Body Art was one of the best rated companies I could find, and they make kits for home use.  It is the exact same stuff you would get with the professional kit, but in a little more manageable size.

The personal sized kits are called Party in a Box.

There are five different themed boxes in the line of these kits.
Pop Classic
Princess + Hearts
Blossom
Tickled Pink
Harmony

Each kit contains:
4 Body Glitter (2.8 g/0.10 oz)
1 Body Glue (3 ml / 0.10 fl oz)
12 3"x2" Self Adhesive Stencils
2 pc. brush set
Instruction/Care Card

The way Glimmer Body Art is applied, is super simple.
First, you want to make sure you skin is nice and dry.  (It doesn't hurt to use a little alcohol and clean the area.)
Then you will want to pull off the backing on the stencil you have chosen and apply to the area of the skin you have selected.  (Goose choose her arm)
Pull off the clear plastic that covers the top of the stencil.
Apply the Glimmer Body art Glue
Pull off the stencil
Wait for glue to turn clear
Apply glitter
Brush any extra glitter to the center, and then brush off.

Then you are DONE!

I would personally wait a few minutes for the body art to dry, but it should be completely water proof after that.  Each tattoo lasts for about 7 days, depending on how you car for it (for example; pat dry don't rub).  If you need/want to remove it before it comes off on its on, just just some alcohol and rub rub rub.

(this is my first video, please excuse my rambling and stuff)
All in all, I love these!  Glimmer Body Art really hooked me up and gave me a few sets of these, and I used them over Christmas with my sister's kids.  They had a blast, and wanted to put them all on.  I limited them to four each which gave me plenty of practice.  We had so much fun, I plan on having Glimmer Body Art at Goose's birthday party in a few weeks!
If you are interested in getting some of these kits for your self, you can purchase them online here: http://glittertattoosshop.com/collections/glitter-tattoo-kits  If you want to purchase the kits individually, they are $20, but if you want to buy all five kits together that is $100 (prices do not include shipping or tax (if applicable))
Glimmer Body Art is also letting me giveaway six prizes.  Five winners will receive a single kit, and one lucky person will receive the grand prize of ALL FIVE KITS!!

Elite Gold's Ultimate MCT Oil and Coconut Oil Pills Review

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

OK, if you are anything like me, you probably know what MCT oil is even though you don't know it.  MCT oil is basically coconut oil or palm kernel oil.  I use coconut oil at least once a day, and I had never heard of MCT oil before I started working on this post.

Here is the technical stuff about MCT oil:
Medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs) are medium-chain (8 to 12 carbons) fatty acid esters of glycerol.
MCTs passively diffuse from the GI tract to the portal system (longer fatty acids are absorbed into the lymphatic system) without requirement for modification like long-chain fatty acids or very-long-chain fatty acids. In addition, MCTs do not require bile salts for digestion. Patients that have malnutrition or malabsorption syndromes are treated with MCTs because they do not require energy for absorption, utilization, or storage.
Rich sources of MCTs include palm kernel oilcoconut oil and camphor tree drupes.
The fatty acids found in MCTs are called medium-chain fatty acids. The names of the medium-chain fatty acids (and the corresponding number of carbons) found in MCTs are caprylic acid (C8),capric acid (C10) and lauric acid (C12). Like all triglycerides (fats and oils), MCTs are composed of a glycerol backbone and three fatty acids, hence the name triglyceride; in the case of MCTs, 2 or 3 of the fatty acid chains attached to glycerol are medium chain in length.

Basically, MCT oil is very easy for the body to break down, and is not stored as fat like other oils.  Other studies have shown that MCT oil will boost brain function and may even help reverse the effects of Alzeimer's or dementia. (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-2258665/Alzeimers-Can-coconut-oil-ease-Families-whove-given-loved-ones-swear-it.html)

I've started replacing some oils in my diet with Elite Gold's MCT oil.  I've made homemade pop corn with it and eggs.  It has no coconut taste, well, really it has no taste.  I've noticed that when I use it, I have more energy.  Maybe one day I'll get to the point where it will help me loose weight too.

If you would like to pick up some of Elite Gold's Ulitmate MCT oil, you can purchase it on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Pharmaceutical-Thermogenic-Maintain-Cholesterol-Performance/dp/B00DJDYGO6

One problem I've had with just taking the MCT oil straight as like a supplement, is the oily texture gets to me.  So, recently I learned that Elite Gold sells Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil Capsules, too!  They are so much easier to take, and I don't have to worry about the oil gagging me.

Like I said, they are super simple to take.  I just take 3 softgels, 2 or 3 times a day.  I've only taken it a few times, so I've not noticed a difference yet, but I am really optomisic that the Coconut Oil softgels will give me more energy to play with Goose.  Each softgel is about 3/4" long, but easy to swallow for me.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

BREASTFEEDING PHOTOS ON FACEBOOK

There has been some drama recently in a group that I am a part of on Facebook.  Some troll is going through this breastfeeding support group and reporting any photos that show children eating.  Last night I got sick of it.  I was going to contact Facebook directly to see if they could remove the person from the group since it was/is harassment and reports are anonymous.  Here is what I stumbled upon though...

So there you go trolls!  As long as that baby is nursing, Facebook believes what the mothers are doing is "natural and beautiful".

That page can be found at https://www.facebook.com/help/www/340974655932193 if you need to see it for yourself.
