Invasion of Ponies and Donkeys

Monday, my husband was outside, and noticed that across the street there were a bunch of ponies (or mini horses I don't know how to tell the difference) and they were heading towards our house.  We live on a pretty busy road, and he was afraid they would get hit, so he ran inside and got me and started grabbing veggies and other things to feed them.  Michael called the non-emergency police number, and I called animal control. By the way, if you call animal control and tell them you are being invaded by ponies and donkeys, they will laugh at you.

We waited for about an hour and a half, and finally a police officer showed up.  He didn't really do much, but tell us that animal control was on their way. We waited for about another 30 min... alone... trying to keep 7 ponies and 2 donkeys confined to our yard.

Once animal control showed, people started coming from everywhere to "help".  Some knew what they doing, but others, were more of a hindrance than anything. I told Michael that we should start charging admission.

To get all the animals loaded, the policed had to shut down the road we live on.  That road happens to be a rather busy road, and we just moved into this house.  I kept telling myself "way to make friends, Jennifer".

Anyway, all ended up turning out fine.  The ponies and donkeys got back to their owner, and looked happy to be home.  I've kind of missed them since they left though haha.
