Stark Safe Cut Resistant Gloves Review
One thing that a budding chef needs is protection for her hands. These cut resistant gloves are a great stocking stuffer for any budding chef, or someone who deals with sharp objects.
These cut resistant gloves I have found to be great for the kitchen. I am always worried about cutting myself while slicing up fruit or veggies, and now with the Stark Safe Cut Resistant Gloves, I am a little more confident.
The Stark Safe Cut Resistant Gloves come in 3 sizes. I personally found that the medium was a great fit for my hand. My 6'6" hubby, found that they were way too small.
These tightly woven fibers help prevent you from slicing your hand. I am not sure how it would stand against punctures or like stabs. I think the gloves would slow the object stabbing your hand, but maybe not prevent the injury, just lessen it.

Stark Safe says that they test their gloves with a test called EN388 Level 5 cut resistant protection. I personally don't really know a whole lot about test like these, but here is what I understand: the test take a 500g weight on a rotating blade. That's basically all I understand about the test.
Overall, I really like the Stark Safe cut resistant gloves. I would kind of leery of the gloves if you were worried about stabbing your hand, but if the fear is slicing, then I think they are a wonderful choice.
If you are interested in purchasing these gloves for you are a loved one, head on over to Amazon. The gloves will run you $12-$20 and are Prime eligible.
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

4K HDMI Cable Ultra Premium Series by Solid Cordz® Review
Here is a good idea for a stocking stuffer. Especially if you are planning on a new TV, Roku or DVD/Blu-Ray player since it seems like those things never come with an HDMI cable.
Before I get into how I feel about this HDMI cord, here is what they have listed as specs and such on Amazon.
6ft High Speed HDMI® Cable with Ethernet 28 AWGIt seems like every time we get a new TV, Roku or DVD player, we always have to run out and get HDMI cords. The devices never seem to come with HDMI cables, and if they do, they break a few months after we get them. So it is helpful to have a few on hand. My husband likes to keep a spare one with his laptop in case he needs to hook it up to a projector, tv, or monitor.
HDMI® provides an interface between any audio/video source, such as set-top boxes, Blue-ray Disc players, DVD players, video game consoles, AV receivers and an audio and/or video monitor, such as digital television or plasma monitor, over a single cable.
Our High Speed HDMI® cables with Ethernet have been designed to meet the performance standards set by HDMI 1.4 and have passed stringent Category 2 testing. They are backward compatible to all previous versions.
Below are the major enhancements introduced in the HDMI 1.4 specification
• HDMI® Ethernet Channel - The HDMI 1.4 specification adds a data channel to the HDMI® connection, enabling high-speed, bi-directional communication. Connected devices that include this feature can send and receive data via 100 Mb/sec Ethernet, making them instantly ready for any IP-based application.
• Audio Return Channel - The new specification adds an audio channel that will reduce the number of cables required to deliver audio "upstream" from a TV to an A/V receiver for processing and playback. In cases where a TV features an internal content source, such as a built-in tuner or DVD player, the Audio Return Channel allows the TV to send audio data upstream to the A/V receiver via the HDMI cable, eliminating the need for an extra cable.
• 3D Support - The 1.4 version of the specification defines common 3D formats and resolutions for HDMI-enabled devices, enabling 3D gaming and other 3D video applications.
• 4K Resolution Support - The new specification enables HDMI devices to support extremely high HD resolutions, effectively four times the resolution of a 1080p device. Support for 4K allows the HDMI interface to transmit digital content at the same resolution as the state-of-the-art Digital Cinema systems used in many movie theaters.
I have a feeling that the 4K HDMI by Solid Cordz would be a perfect solution! There would be no way I could accidently break this cord. There is a braided mesh covering the cable, making it almost impossible to bend it too much.
The ends of the HDMI cables are quite large compared to most HDMI cables so you need to make sure you have enough clearance when you plug it in and reposition electronics. Even though the cable is built fairly solid it makes it easier to damage the device you are plugging into. As a general rule of thumb the cable should be easy to insert and remove. If there is any sort of play in the connection after you plug in the cable you should have the electronics inspected by a certified professional.
With any electronics be sure to check the compatibility before purchasing. The 4K HDMI Cable Ultra Premium Series by Solid Cordz is a great option for most electronics.
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Baby Marohn 2014 Holiday Gift Guide: Dot & Dot Slim Packing Cube Organizer #Review
Here is a gift idea for the "world traveler" or if you know someone who travels a lot for work.
Next year, my family and I will be traveling out of country for the first time. There are a lot of first for us coming up, first plane ride, first out of country experience, and more. Since I found out about this trip, I've been kind of stressing about how to get everything done, how to pack everything, and where to put everything. Luckily, we were given the chance to try out the Dot & Dot Packing Cubes.
Each small packing cube is 14" x 5" x 2.75" and made out what I think is PUL with a mesh top, so you can see through into the cube.
I was able to pack a lot of Goose's clothes in one cube. I decided to try and get two days worth of clothes into one cube. So in one Dot & Dot cube I was able to get a skirt, shirt, pj's, a dress, and two pairs of undies. In another cube, I got two pairs of size 5t jeans, a sweatshirt, several other shirts in there, and 3 pairs of 4t leggings. I was really impressed with how much I was able to fit into the Dot & Dot cube.
Over all the Dot & Dot packing cubes are really nice. I would love to try some different sizes and I would love it if there was a way that they could zip together, but that wouldn't be something that change my opinion much about them.
If you are interested in purchasing some of the Dot & Dot Slim packing cubes, you can do that on Amazon. They come in 10 different colors, so you could probably find some to match you luggage. Dot & Dot also makes several different sizes. You can find all their packing cubes and other travel accessories here.
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Baby Marohn Holiday Gift Guide 2014: Old Factory Candle Gift Set Review + #Giveaway
One of my favorite things to give for Christmas is candles, and Old Factory Candles are on the top of my "what to give' list this year. I love these candles. They smell wonderful, and they are made out of clean burning soy wax.
As soon as you take the lid off the candle, the smell is wonderful! The cranberry just brings back memories of family Thanksgivings, the Pumpkin Spice smells just like fresh baked pumpkin bread, the Autumn Leaves smells a lot like pine needles to me or more like Christmas.
I personally love the cranberry the best, but if you are looking for something a little less "fallish" they have a whole list of sets, and I am sure you could find some scents that you love.
Fall HarvestPumpkin SpiceCranberryAutumn LeavesEach wick should burn clean and even for over 20 hours making this an awesome long lasting Christmas or any holiday gift.
